On Saturday . . .

. . . . . DH and DD began what I refer to as the annual 'gathering of the wood' in preparation for the coming winter months . . . . . . that will be here before we know it. My Basenji, Dream, loves to 'supervise' any happenings here at Wine Brook Cottage and Saturday was no different. In order to make her happy and yet keep her out of harm's way I let her roam the upstairs balcony as her Daddy returned with the first load of wood. There's always a hugh amount of work involved when you do burn wood but the benefits are wonderful. Plenty of physical exercise and fresh air, and the heat from wood beats any other that our aging bones have encountered.
