Through my lens . . . .

Look! What do I see?
Apples growing on our tree.

Yellow flower by the brook
Fits into a little nook.

Lovely lilies in their gowns,
Another treasure from the grounds.

Sweet clover on the lawn
Could be lunch for doe and fawn.

Last month life was peaceful at our stillwater as the waterlilies started to bloom. I've missed a lot of nice shots around home and the general area this summer due to rain, fog, and my illness which have all kept me inside for most of the time. When a good day does arrive everyone here is outside in the fresh air and sunshine as much as possible. A few pairs of socks have been knit though there were days that winding a bit of yarn was all I could manage. Hopefully those days are behind me.

Lovely little wild rose growing over the rock. I honestly did not notice the dragonfly until the pics were downloaded on the computer. Have to brush up on my observation skills eh?!

. . . . of socks for me. :-) I've really enjoyed knitting with the Patons Decor yarn 75% Acrylic 25% Wool and I'm thinking it's the wool that has made the yarn most fexible in my hands. Perhaps some of the wool experts reading this could tell me. It's the wool that makes the difference isn't it?

Experimental Seed Stitch Socks

Experimental Seed Stitch Socks

My original intent had been to keep these experimental socks for myself but as they turned out to not fit me all that well I've decided to give them to my mil. The seed stitch worked well with this yarn I thought.

Visible & Invisible Potholes of Life

When the potholes are deep ones I've heard it said that you should toot your horn as you come up out of one . . . . so I'm tooting. At times some of those potholes even had water in them up to my neck! Things are starting to turn around now and I just wanted to let everyone know that we will survive. Hope to get up a picture or two and some more words typed tomorrow.

The experimental socks are done and I think they will be a gift to my mil. Shel's brother, Alan, had a successful surgery and recovery. If I've forgotten to answer a question or comment please remind me as I get back in the swing of things.

'Night all ..........

NotAll Those Who Wander Are Lost

Hello out there in blogland . . . .

As I've been out of touch for so long I'm wondering if a posting will make it to my blog so will use this as a 'test run' this evening.
