Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost

. . . some shared writings from Wine Brook Cottage . . .

Tuesday, May 16, 2006

Time has a way of moving on and it's been a while since I've left a posting here I suppose. Things are about the same at Wine Brook Cottage with Shel on the computer most days for a few hours sending out job applications and his resume. Certainly is a different way to go job searching than what we remember from days gone by. So now you understand one reason I haven't been blogging ........... no chance! {g} When the weather is good we usually go for a walk in the afternoons, to clear our heads. Today we've had some rain; but nothing at all like what New England, especially MA, ME, and NH, experienced over the weekend. Glad that low missed us.

See this 'experimental' sock? Ribbing is the normal cast on 60 sts. and K2P2, then decrease to 54 sts. with a knit row, then hit the seed stitch trail of K1P1 down to the heel. Do a normal heel, then do the seed stitch on the top 27 sts. and knit the other two needles. Seed stitch stops when decreasing for toe starts. Turned out a bit large around than my skinny foot required, but it'll do. Now I have to get the other one started so I'll have a pair.

So glad to read At The Top of Squirrel Spur that things are looking up for the Riverrim folks. One never knows when they themselves may be the ones in great need. Shel's brother, Alan, has had a heart attack and will have a triple bypass in a St. John, New Brunswick hospital this coming Thursday or Friday. Praying that all goes well with his surgery.

Hi Dawn...praying for Alan, that all goes well.

I've been remiss because I've not told you how much meaning your blog name has for me...it's wonderful and thank you for that gift. It's caused me to think deep thoughts -deep for me anyway HA!-

Your words are always welcome, write when you can.
